I am a faculty of Political Science and History at the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga City, Philippines.
I served as Chairperson of the WMSU Department of Political Science (2007-2010), President of the University Faculty Union (2008-2008), and the Faculty Regent of the same university (2008-2010).
I am also pursuing a Ph.D. Program in History, Cognate in Political Science, at the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila.
I earned a Master's Degree in History, Cognate in Political Science, at UP Diliman in 2004. I also obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1995 at the WMSU.
Research has been part in my academic life both as a faculty and a graduate student. My research interests include: Diplomatic History (West Asia and Southeast Asia), Ethnohistory, Migration, Human Rights and Legal Research, Conflict Resolution, and Islamic Studies.
I speak and write in English and understand Spanish. I am also fluent in Cebuano, Chabacano, Filipino, Iranun, Maguindanao, M’ranao, Tausug, and can understand some languages in Southern Philippines. I value human respect and dignity.
